What grows from the things you’ve lost? (2025-ongoing)

‘What grows from the things you’ve lost?’ is a conceptual investigation into the cultural memory of Latvia’s natural monument.

Conceptual scenography simulation

Field of Life - 360° opening installation - Mural print mounted on a circular installation piece, 2m high and 8,34m long with the four oaks cut out, mounted in physical frames in front of the mural print.

Installation piece can be accompanied with 25 to 50 oaks plants, germinated and nurtured during the ‘Life of Oaks project’.

Weight of the World - Print on textile - mounted in and above the 360° installation, or in open exhibition space.

The Leaf That Became … Language - Artwork with an ancient book showing the history of oaks in fine handwriting in oak gall ink.

Oak planting campaign provided by the artist, fulfilled by his Latvian assistant and her family.

This large decaying piece will be juxtaposed by a projection of young oak plant leaf pieces depicting photosynthesis details.
